Senator representing Edo South, Neda Imasuen, has warmly received Edo Central’s Senator-elect, Dr Joseph Ikpea, pledging closer collaboration to advance the interests of the State at the National Assembly.
Ikpea, who emerged victorious on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the recent by-election, was hosted in Abuja by Imasuen on Thursday. The meeting, according to Imasuen, was aimed at fostering unity and charting a common course for Edo’s progress.
“It was an honour to welcome my brother and colleague. With his wealth of experience, passion and dedication to service, Edo Central will enjoy renewed and impactful representation,” Imasuen said.
Both lawmakers pledged to work hand in hand in the 10th Senate to attract development projects, expand opportunities, and deliver tangible dividends of democracy to their constituents.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to complementing the efforts of the Edo State Governor in driving growth and prosperity, stressing that Edo’s strength lies in unity of purpose across the three senatorial districts.
The meeting is seen as a strategic step in consolidating the APC’s mandate in Edo, as the party positions itself to present a united front ahead of future political contests.
