The Senator representing Edo North Senatorial District, Adams Aliyu Oshiomole, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the people of Afowa, Ayogwiri, and Jattu in Uzairue, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, following a devastating fire outbreak that left many displaced and destroyed property.
In a statement signed by his representative, Felix Iyalomhe, Senator Oshiomole described the incident as a tragic chapter in the history of Uzairue. Expressing his sorrow, he acknowledged the profound impact the disaster has had on the lives of affected residents, many of whom have lost their homes, businesses, and livelihoods.
“It is difficult to find the right words to comfort those who have experienced such a devastating loss,” the Senator remarked. He urged the victims to stay strong and place their trust in Almighty God during this challenging period.
Senator Oshiomole assured the communities that brighter days lie ahead, pledging his commitment to supporting recovery efforts. “Though the pain cannot be completely erased, acts of kindness and solidarity can help rebuild the spirit of those affected,” he stated.
The Senator called on unaffected individuals to extend a helping hand to their neighbours, emphasising the importance of unity and compassion in times of adversity. He expressed particular sympathy for families and market vendors who have borne the brunt of the disaster, encouraging them to remain hopeful as they work to rebuild their lives.
“This tragedy reminds us of the importance of standing together as a community, offering comfort and assistance to those in need,” he concluded.
