Dubaiโ€“ Luxury real estate developer, Seven Tides has marked its 20th anniversary with a celebration of its extensive and diverse portfolio of projects.
Since its establishment in 2004, Seven Tides has completed over ten major developments, covering 13 million square feet across the UAE and the UK, including iconic hotels, residential, commercial, educational, and mixed-use properties.
Reflecting on the companyโ€™s two decades of success, Ghanim Bin Sulayem, Director of Operations at Seven Tides, stated, โ€œWe are exceptionally honoured by our achievements over the past two decades. We have always taken a progressive outlook, worked creatively, chosen our partners strategically, and acted decisively.
The result has been a property portfolio across Dubai and London that includes landmark hospitality developments, luxury and affordable commercial and residential buildings, as well as multi-use complexes and educational institutes.โ€
Bin Sulayem highlighted the resilience and adaptability that have enabled Seven Tides to navigate significant challenges, including the global credit crunch in 2009 and the pandemic in 2020.
He attributed the companyโ€™s sustained success to its solid foundations, operational resilience, and the exceptional talent and dedication of its employees and partners.
Founded in 2004 by Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, DP World Group Chairman and CEO, Seven Tides quickly made its mark with the construction of Oceana Residences, the Royal Amwaj Apartments on Palm Jumeirah, and the Ibn Battuta Gate Complex.
In 2006, the company expanded internationally by acquiring the five-star DUKES London hotel.
By 2009, Seven Tides was managing ten residential buildings in Discovery Gardens, encompassing 1,510 apartments and 90 retail units.
The completion of Oceana Residences in 2010 added 644 residential apartments and penthouses, along with the US-themed steakhouse West 14th, later rebranded as Ula.
In the same year, the company completed the Ibn Battuta Gate hotel, featuring 396 keys, 156 residential apartments, extensive commercial office space, and the UAEโ€™s first robotic car parking facility. The Royal Amwaj, opened as Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort & Residences in 2013, further cemented Seven Tidesโ€™ reputation for luxury and innovation.
The Dubai Heights Academy, a British Curriculum School with a capacity for 1,845 students, launched in 2016 and opened in 2018. Another notable project, DUKES Dubai, opened in 2017 after two years of construction, featuring 279 hotel rooms and 287 fully furnished hotel apartments.
Seven Tides continued its momentum with the opening of NH Collection Dubai The Palm in 2023, offering 227 hotel rooms and 306 serviced apartments. The companyโ€™s most recent development, Anantara World Islands Dubai Resort, opened in 2022 as a luxury boutique resort with 70 rooms, suites, and villas.
Looking ahead, Bin Sulayem discussed the ongoing construction at Golf Views Seven City in JLT, a mixed-use development with 2,621 residential apartments and 150,000 square feet of retail space.
โ€œSteady progress is being made throughout the development. It features the most integrated offering in JLT and epitomises our progressive strategy by reacting to market demand for quality, affordable apartments in an urban setting, which embodies interactive, social, and active living.โ€
As Seven Tides celebrates its 20th anniversary, the company continues to build on its legacy of quality and innovation in real estate development, maintaining a strong presence in both the UAE and the UK.
