Southern Governors’ Forum met in Abeokuta, Ogun State on monday. The Forum elected Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun as Chairman and Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo as Vice Chairman.
The Southern Governors’ Forum serves as the umbrella body for the 17 governors from the South-West, South-South, and South-East geopolitical zones of Nigeria.
Sixteen out of the 17 governors that constituted the Southern Governors Forum attended the meeting with only Rivers State Governor, Similayi Fubara, absent at the meeting.
