Derby County midfielder David Ozoh has reportedly chosen to represent Nigeria at senior international level.
The 21-year-old former England youth international has committed his international future to the Super Eagles and is currently awaiting final FIFA clearance as well as his Nigerian passport before receiving an official invitation.
Super Eagles head coach Éric Sékou Chelle has been closely monitoring Ozoh as he looks to add more youth, energy, and physical presence to Nigeria’s midfield options.
If all the necessary documentation and clearance are completed on time, Ozoh could be in contention for a call-up when Nigeria take on Russia in an international friendly on October 6.
The talented midfielder is regarded as one of the promising young players eligible to represent Nigeria, and his decision to commit to the Super Eagles will be seen as a major boost for the national team.
