Teacher lands in court over #760,000 fraud

A 36-year-old teacher, Emmanuel Ogunbameru, has been charged with fraud in an Okitipupa Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ondo State.
The charges against him include felony and advance fee fraud. According to the Police Prosecutor, the defendant and another person committed felony on April 17, 10.00am.
The defendant was accused of fraudulently obtaining the sum of N760,000 from one Oluwasegun Ehinmosan under the pretence of buying some goods for him, but failed to do so.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was granted bail in the sum of N200,000 and a surety in like sum.
The case was adjourned till Oct. 26 for further hearing.
