The Scriptural Definition of True Religion

The only time true religion is defined in Scripture is in James 1:27:

“Religion that God accepts as pure and faultless is to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”

Please note that this James was Christ’s biological brother. He grew up with Christ and knew Him so intimately. And here he is telling us that true religion is love, not Judaism, Christianity, or Islam.

I believe Christ is the only way to God. That is my belief. However, if I claim to have Christ and I hate Muslims, or any other religionists, then I am not truly a Christian, because Christ came to die for humanity. My religion is in vain if I hate those He came to die for.

That is why Scripture says, “Even Gentiles, who do not have God’s written law, show that they know His law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it.”-Romans 2:14.

Muslims who obeys Christ’s principle to love their neighbours as themselves, are closer to God than Christians who obey satan’s principle to hate those who do not believe like they do. And vice versa. Remember that the Good Samaritan was not a Jew, or a Christian. He was a man who loved his neighbour.

And let us not forget that despite what anybody tells you, we are born into this world, not as Christians, Muslims or as any other religionists. We are born only as children of God. It is in this world that we learn to hate. We did bot bring that dirty attitude from heaven when our mothers birthed us.

So, if we can learn to hate right here on Earth, then we can as well learn to love. I choose love, and I urge you to join me in loving your neighbour (not your fellow religionist) as yourself. Do this, and watch Nigeria change and become better for you and for me!

And for those who ask me whether or not Muslims, or other religionists other than Christians will make heaven, my answer to this is that nobody on Earth is the judge on who make God’s Kingdom. That decision is solely the prerogative of God. Just run your race and leave the judging to God!
