President Bola Tinubu has given his approval to the Federal Capital Territory’s statutory budget surpassing N1.1 trillion for the 2024 fiscal year.
This announcement came to light during a media chat held in the Abuja office of the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike.
The breakdown of the N1.1 trillion budget highlights a substantial allocation of N280 billion for overhead expenses, N726 billion earmarked for capital projects, and N140 billion designated for personnel costs. In total, the budget for the Federal Capital Territory amounts to N1.147 trillion for the fiscal year 2024.
This significant budget allocation underscores the government’s commitment to infrastructural development and operational expenditures within the FCT.
