A group- The Tinubu/Shettima Ambassadors (TSA), Edo State Chapter has awarded Hon. Johnson Oghuma, the best performing lawmaker from Etsako Federal Constituency in Edo State since return to democracy in 1999.
Speaking at the event, which was held in Auchi on Sunday, May 7, 2023, the State coordinator of the Tinubu/Shettima Ambassador, Comrade Attakhiru Abdulganiyu said that, the lawmaker was awarded based on his unbeatable track records in the history of Etsako Federal constituency after the return of democracy in 1999 in terms of performance.
“We are demonstrating this through the records and data across made available and also in line with the recent National Assembly award to Hon. Johnson Oghuma as the most valuable parliamentarian in the 9th Assembly based on the assessment and performance evaluation by order paper through Bills and Motions, dividends of democracy been attracted to Etsako Federal constituency in the areas of Education, Training and empowerments in confectioneries, Cosmetology, Animal husbandry, Fish Farming (Fishery) GSM repairs, Aluminum Fabrication, Electrical and Mechanical Tools , Farming equipment like Mini Tractors to Etsako Farmers, Poultry Farming, Distribution of Educational Learning Materials and Laboratory Equipment to Primary Schools across Etsako Federal Constituency.
“The major track records of the dividends of democracy attracted by this uncommon Legislator are the facilitation of five (5) Rural Roads in Etsako Federal constituency, precisely Etsako East: Iyebua, Iyanokpodi, Iyukhua, Unuedego been executed by Federal government, the sponsorship of a bill to upgrade Auchi Polytecnic to the status of Federal University of Technology Auchi.
“Furthermore, Oghuma singlehandedly influenced Higher institution to Etsako: FEDERAL COLLEGE OF FOREST RESOURCES MANAGEMENT, Fugar which was the first time in history since 1999, that a House of Representatives member attracted a Federal institution to Etsako.”
While eulogizing the excellence performance of the lawmaker, he listed other achievement of Oguma thus:
“Another area of significance worth mentioning is that the Lawmaker singlehandedly built a secondary School at Ebele Okpekpe ward 10 in Etsako East to stop Ebele Community trecking to Okpekpe Town for their secondary Education.
“Many Verifiable Construction of School buildings are still ongoing across Etsako Federal constituency.
Rehabilitation of Auchi/Ibie Mechanics Site Ibie.
“Hon. Johnson Oghuma has singlehandedly influenced many Federal employments to our youths in various ministry, Parastatals and Agencies mostly in the Ministry of Environment.
“In other aspects of educational development, Oghuma’s primary and secondary School buildings across Etsako Federal constituency are countless which includes Imiekhili Primary Okpella, Ido Primary School Okpella, Oghe Primary, Bode, Fugar Mixed Secondary Fugar, Ughiole Primary Aviele. Epa Primary School etc.
Other areas are Skills aqusition center Auchi, Lock up Shops inJattu, Agbede and agenebode Markets
