Video: Slain Gov Adeleke’s Aide, Emir Ajagungbade Buried in Osogbo

The remains of Olalekan Oyeyemi, popularly known as Emir Ajagungbade, the slain aide to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, have been laid to rest in Osogbo.

Oyeyemi was reportedly buried on Monday by traditionalists at his newly built residence in Osogbo, where he was said to have been preparing to move before his death.

The political aide was reportedly shot dead on Sunday in Ile-Ife during a suspected clash linked to a dispute over the chairmanship of a motor park.

His death has continued to generate reactions across Osun State, particularly over his controversial history and the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Oyeyemi had previously been declared wanted by the police in connection with alleged cult-related killings, adding another layer of controversy to his death.

According to information gathered by Crossblogxtv, traditionalists performed the final burial rites at his new house as mourners gathered to bid him farewell.

The burial brings to a close the immediate funeral rites for the controversial political aide, but questions surrounding the circumstances of his death remain.

Attention is now focused on efforts to establish what led to the reported shooting in Ile-Ife and whether anyone will be held accountable for his death.
