WAEC Releases 2026 WASSCE Results, Candidates Begin Online Checks

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), ending weeks of anticipation for thousands of candidates across Nigeria.

The examination body announced the release on Wednesday through its official X handle, confirming that candidates can now access their results online.

“UPDATE: 2026 WASSCE (SC) results have been released. Generate your PIN at waec.org and check your results now on waecdirect.org,” the council stated.

WAEC directed candidates to first generate a Personal Identification Number (PIN) via its official website before proceeding to the WAEC Direct portal to access their results.

The council explained that a valid WAEC Result Checker ePIN and Serial Number are mandatory for candidates to view and print their results online.

To check the results, candidates are required to obtain a valid ePIN, visit the WAEC result-checking portal, enter their examination number, select the 2026 examination year and examination type, provide the ePIN and Serial Number, then submit their details to view their performance.

WAEC also advised candidates to carefully verify all information before submitting, warning that the portal may experience temporary delays due to the heavy traffic expected following the release of the results.

The release of the 2026 WASSCE results marks a crucial milestone for candidates seeking admission into universities, polytechnics, colleges of education and other tertiary institutions across the country.

Candidates are also advised to upload their O’Level results to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS), where applicable, to facilitate their admission process.
