The Super Falcons on Thursday defeated Australia 3-2 at Brisbane Stadium to top Group B at The on going Women World Cup.
The Nigerian women defeated the Austrian team to earn the team’s first victory of the tournament and the sixth overall victory in the Women’s World Cup’s history.
With this victory, the Super Falcon’s chances of moving on to the round of 16 have increased after Canada defeated Ireland 2-1 on Wednesday.
