The Faculty of Law has won its opening game against faculty of Applied Health Sciences 3:0 at the ongoing Inter-faculty Sports Festival of the Edo University, Uzairue.
Edo State University, Uzairue 1st Inter-Faculty Sports Festival kicked off on Saturday 10th July, 2021
The celebration was declared opened by the special guest of honour, His Royal Highness Alhaji Kadiri Imonikhe Omogbai IV, the Ogieneni of Uzairue
Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor appreciated the fact that the University has grown to the extent of establishing the tradition as part of sporting activities in University.
He noted that sports is major part of development in any Institution as such the Edo University is taking full advantage of it to incucate the spirit of competitiveness in the students which will enabke them value competition.
The Vice-Chancellor said:”Sport is a major part of development and academic activities of any University because the degree awarded is a degree of character and learning. That is the reason we are inculcating the spirit of competition in the students. The spirit of valuing your competitors. Knowing that you can challenge and win a price.”
