An Indiana lawyer named Mark S. Zuckerberg is suing Meta after Facebook repeatedly suspended his accounts for “impersonating” Meta CEO Mark E. Zuckerberg.
The lawyer says his business and personal accounts were shut down nine times over eight-years, costing him clients and over $11,000 in lost ads.
He filed a lawsuit in Marion Superior Court, accusing Meta of negligence and breach of contract, seeking reimbursement, legal fees, and permanent restoration of his accounts.
Meta admitted the mistake, restored his account after the latest suspension in May 2025, and said they are working to fix such errors.
In his complaint, the lawyer points out he has been practicing law since the tech billionaire was just three years old.
He also says sharing the same name has brought him harassment, prank calls, daily requests for Facebook tech support, and even death threats.
