Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally set the stage for the 2027 general elections, releasing its much-anticipated timetable and schedule of activities.
The development, contained in an official document signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, outlines a comprehensive roadmap leading to the polls. Key highlights include timelines for the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms, screening of aspirants, appeals processes, and the conduct of primary elections.
In the statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party assured members, stakeholders, and Nigerians of its readiness to deliver a credible and transparent primary election process.
The APC further stressed that the outlined schedule reflects its commitment to strengthening internal democracy while consolidating its progressive ideals ahead of the crucial 2027 contest.
