The Nigerian Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress have announced an end to their indefinite strike after a meeting with the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
The National Adviser pleaded with the union leaders to call off the strike, assuring them that those responsible for the assault on the NLC have been arrested and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
Following the meeting, the National Deputy Vice President of TUC, Tommy Etim, stated that the Organized Labour has directed all its affiliates to call off the strike nationwide based on their trust for the National Security Adviser.
