Natasha Idibia Clinches NDC Ticket in Landslide Victory, Emerges Egor Flag Bearer for 2027

Hon. Natasha Osawaru Irobosa has emerged as the flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress in Egor Local Government Area after securing a resounding victory in the party’s primary election.

The keenly contested exercise, which began in Ward 10 and extended across all ten wards that make up the Egor Constituency, attracted a large turnout of party members, leaders, stakeholders, youths, women and supporters.

At the end of the voting process, Natasha Osawaru polled overwhelming support across the constituency to defeat Pharm. Oriakhi and Edo Aguebor, who came second and third respectively.

Party members and observers commended the primary election for its peaceful, transparent and orderly conduct, describing it as a demonstration of the party’s commitment to internal democracy and unity.

The impressive turnout recorded across the wards was also seen as a vote of confidence in the party’s leadership and its growing influence within the constituency.

Speaking shortly after her victory, an elated Natasha thanked party leaders, delegates, supporters and members who stood by her throughout the primary process.

She described her emergence as a collective victory for the party and the people of Egor, pledging to justify the confidence reposed in her through dedicated service, inclusiveness and commitment to grassroots development.

“This victory belongs to every member of our great party and to the people of Egor Constituency. I am deeply humbled by the confidence reposed in me, and I pledge to justify this trust through dedicated service, inclusiveness and unwavering commitment to the welfare of our people,” she said.

In a move aimed at fostering unity within the party, Natasha extended an olive branch to her fellow aspirants and their supporters, urging them to put the contest behind them and work together for the progress of the party.

She stressed that the primary election was a democratic exercise and not a battle among political enemies, calling on all stakeholders to close ranks ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“As we move forward, there must be no winners or losers. We are one family with a common goal. I call on my brothers and sisters who contested alongside me to join hands with me as we build a stronger party and work tirelessly to secure victory for our great party in 2027,” she added.
