The management of Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital (ISTH), Irrua, has appointed Mr. Kenneth Aigbokhan, KSC, as the new Head of the Publicity Unit in the hospital’s Public Relations and Information Department, signalling a renewed drive to strengthen its public communication and community engagement.
The appointment was conveyed in a letter dated July 14, 2026, signed by the Director of Administration, Mrs. Edna Inegbedion, on behalf of the Chief Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Reuben Agbons Egiefyidi.
The elevation recognises Aigbokhan’s more than a decade of dedicated service, creativity and unwavering commitment to the growth of the institution.
A graduate of Public Administration from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Aigbokhan has served the hospital in several strategic capacities, including Chairman of Media 2025, Secretary of the Children Christian Party, Secretary of the ISTH End-of-Year Christmas Party Committee, and member of both the Bishop Matthew Okpebholo Geriatric Care and Research Centre Committee and the ISTH Sports Committee.
Outside the hospital, he is the Executive Producer of Kay TV, a media platform promoting storytelling, moral values, family life and community development. He has also built a reputation in Nollywood as a filmmaker, scriptwriter and producer, contributing to productions that inspire positive social values.
Aigbokhan is a member of the Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria (IHSAN), the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) and the Nigerian Red Cross Society. He is also a Knight of St. Christopher (KSC) and is married with children.
The hospital management commended the immediate past Head of the Publicity Unit, Mr. Jeff Uwaifo Aigbokhan, for laying a solid foundation for the department’s growth.
With Kenneth Aigbokhan now at the helm of the Publicity Unit, ISTH is expected to enhance its public relations strategy, improve information dissemination and strengthen engagement with stakeholders, while remaining committed to its enduring watchword: “Patient is Supreme.”
