Police reportedly arrest men who accompanied estranged wife to event
Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tuface, has reportedly drawn a hard line under his troubled relationship with his estranged wife, Honourable Natasha, telling her bluntly that he is “no longer interested” in their marriage.
The dramatic development reportedly followed a heated confrontation between the estranged couple at the grand opening of 90s Lounge in Abuja on Friday night, where Tuface was billed to perform.
According to a senior member of the singer’s management team, Natasha allegedly stormed the venue with security personnel and a group of men, sparking tension around the singer.
The management source further alleged that the men accompanying Natasha attempted to take Tuface away from the venue, describing the incident as an alleged attempt to abduct the singer.
The situation reportedly escalated into a confrontation involving Tuface, Natasha and members of the singer’s team.
Police were said to have intervened, with the men reportedly arrested, although the arrests could not be independently confirmed at the time of filing this report.
In the aftermath of the confrontation, Tuface reportedly took Natasha inside and confronted her directly, telling her that he was no longer interested in continuing their relationship.
The explosive encounter reportedly came barely two weeks after the singer allegedly ended the relationship with Natasha during a phone conversation.
The management source also claimed that the pair had already been separated for more than two months before Friday night’s dramatic encounter.
However, crucial details surrounding the incident remain unclear. The allegation that Natasha attempted to abduct Tuface has not been independently established, while it is also unclear whether anyone was injured or precisely how many people were arrested.
