In a powerful move to bridge the gap between the police and young Nigerians, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has met with Grammy-winning superstar Burna Boy in Lagos.

The high-level meeting, held at the Police House in Lagos on Saturday, focused on how Nigeria’s creative industry can be leveraged to rebuild public trust in the Nigeria Police Force.

According to IGP Disu, the engagement is part of his administration’s drive to collaborate with key stakeholders and reposition the Force as an institution Nigerians can truly trust and be proud of.

The Police Chief highlighted the massive influence of Nigeria’s Orange Economy – music, film, fashion and digital content – noting that its power to shape conversations among youths can help foster better understanding between officers and the communities they serve.
