The management transition at Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma has reached its peak as Prof Asomwan Sunnie Adagbonyin formally handed over the reins of authourity to the new Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Samuel Sunday Olowo.
The handover ceremony was presided over by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the University, Dr. Omo-Ehijele Frank Odafen.
During the ceremony, the Pro-Chancellor clarified that Prof Adagbonyin was not sacked but stepped aside, and praised his management team for their performance.
Dr. Omo-Ehijele Frank Odafen also outlined the expectations for the new Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof Sunday Olowo, who is tasked with leading the University and working with the Governing Council to find a substantive Vice Chancellor.
In his valedictory speech, Prof Asomwan Sunnie Adagbonyin highlighted the achievements of his team, including bringing stability to the academic calendar and ensuring timely salary payments.
In response, Prof Samuel Olowo expressed gratitude to the Visitor of the University and Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, and pledged to work tirelessly with the Governing Council to restore the pride of the University.
The ceremony concluded with the exchange of handover notes and the signing of relevant documents.
