An FCT High Court sitting in Gwarinpa, Abuja, has granted fresh bail to Amos Isah, the 39-year-old founder and General Overseer of Prophetic Voice of Fire Ministry International in Gwagwalada, who is currently facing multiple serious criminal charges involving a 14-year-old girl.
According to court proceedings, Pastor Amos Isah is standing trial on an eight-count charge bordering on alleged child rape, abduction, sexual exploitation, and abuse involving a teenage member of his church.
The latest ruling, delivered by Justice Modupe Osho-Adebiyi, imposed significantly stricter bail conditions than those previously granted by another trial judge. The court approved bail in the sum of N50 million — a sharp increase from the earlier N5 million bail condition.
As part of the new conditions, the cleric was ordered to surrender his international passport to the court. In addition, his sureties must be heads of Pentecostal churches with verified residential addresses.
Amos Isah pleaded not guilty to all charges brought against him.
The case has continued to attract widespread public attention due to the disturbing nature of the allegations and the involvement of a religious leader accused of exploiting a minor within a place of worship.
The matter has now been adjourned until June 30, 2026, for continuation of proceedings.
The case adds to growing concerns across Nigeria over allegations of abuse involving trusted authority figures and the urgent need for stronger protection for children and vulnerable worshippers.
