The Rector, Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti Dr. Dayo Oladebeye has said Administrative processes will be evolved to address any attempt to disparage the institution management.

The Rector gave the indication while addressing a press conference at the institution in reaction to the protest by members of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, a situation that disrupted the ongoing examination of the students.

Dr.Oladebeye described the action as uncalled for as the demands by the labour Union requesting for the payment of the part term programme has been offset even before the protest,while those who are yet to receive is due to challenges from their banks.

While discribing the various allegations against him and the institution’s management as untrue, the Rector said the ASUP did not explore every avenue to agitage for their demands saying the action was gross misconduct according to public service acts.

Academic activities at the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti had on Tuesday put on hold following a protest by members of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP over alleged failure of the management to meet their demands.

The Chairman of ASUP, Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti Chapter, Dr. Olabisi Olasehinde said the protest became necessary as several dialogues with the management have not yielded positive results
