The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo, has once again promised the people of Edo State that his administration will ensure even development across the State if elected into office.
This assurance was delivered at a well-attended Town Hall meeting in Benin City on Tuesday.
Ighodalo, who has been actively engaging with Edolites throughout his campaign, emphasized that his leadership will bring prosperity to all hardworking citizens.
“The era of ‘monkey dey work, baboon dey chop’ is over in Edo State,” he declared. “It will be ‘monkey dey work, baboon die.'” This bold statement underscores his commitment to rewarding the diligent efforts of the people under his administration.
A key highlight of Ighodalo’s address was his pledge to maintain and potentially increase the current #70,000 minimum wage, demonstrating his focus on improving the living standards of Edo’s workforce.
Ighodalo also detailed his comprehensive vision for the state’s development, emphasizing inclusivity and addressing various critical issues. His plans include advancements in infrastructure, education, trade and investment, tourism and culture, security, healthcare, skill acquisition, job creation, agriculture, food security, and support for small businesses
“We are committed to building an Edo State that works for everyone,” Ighodalo affirmed.
“Our administration will ensure that every sector receives the attention and resources needed for sustainable growth and development.”
As the campaign progresses, Ighodalo continues to rally support by offering concrete solutions and a clear path towards a prosperous and inclusive Edo State.
