The Bayelsa State Government has acquired a new aircraft, an ATR 72‑600 turboprop, which will be operated by Pioneer Airlines (it is not yet clear whether the airline is state-owned or privately owned).

The ATR 72‑600, a modern twin-engine turboprop aircraft introduced in 2011, can carry up to 70 passengers and is also suitable for cargo and freight operations.”
