The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced the temporary suspension of its online portal used for company registration services.
In a statement released by the commission, it confirmed that the decision followed a severe cyberattack that affected its main database system, impacting millions of records in Nigeria.
The CAC explained that the shutdown was necessary to protect its data infrastructure and address the security vulnerabilities identified during the attack.
It added that investigations and technical repairs are currently ongoing to restore the system safely and ensure full security before resuming services.
The commission further assured the public that updates will be provided once the platform is fully restored and registration activities resume normally.
