The Benin monarch, His Royal Majesty Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku-Akpolokpolo Oba Ewuare the second, has appointed Okao-Eguae (district head from the palace) to immediately take charge of administration in Ologbo and Ehor dukedoms in Ikpoba-Okha and Uhumwonde local government area.
The new district head, Chief Emmanuel Iyase will oversee the two dukedoms for and on behalf of the Oba following the outright suspension of the former enigie(dukes) for an alleged act of traditional desecration, which the Benin monarch described as inimical to the custom and tradition of the kingdom.
In a brief Ekpomwen-Abor, a ceremony of thanks after conferment of chieftaincy title at the Ughozolua axis of the palace, Omo N’Oba Ewuare charged the new Okao-Eguae to administer Ologbo and Ehor dukedoms in accordance with the palace directives
Omo N’Oba further urged chief Emmanuel Iyase to shun unethical practices capable of bringing disrepute to the dukedoms.
The new district head from the palace will oversee Ologbo and Ehor dukedoms under strict supervision of palace authority.
On his part Chief Iyase thanked the royal father and promised to be of good conduct for the overall development of the dukedoms
Among dignitries that attended the ceremony includes his Execellency, Chief Lucky Imasuen, former deputy governor of Edo State, Hon Sunny Ogbewe, former Ikpoba Okah Local Government Council and Chairman of Ikpoba okah APC, Hon Patrick Aisowieren, Edo State commissioner for NDDC, Hon. Engr Gabrier Idusereri, Hon kelly Okungbowa among other important dignitries.
