Paschal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has lost the All Progressives Congress House of Representatives primary election for Orlu/Orsu/Oru Federal Constituency in Imo State.
The celebrity businessman and City Boys Movement Coordinator was defeated by Hon. Canicemore Omeogo in the keenly contested APC primary.
Cubana Chief Priest had sought to emerge as the party’s candidate to represent the federal constituency at the National Assembly under the APC platform.
The outcome of the primary came as a surprise to many supporters of the socialite, whose entrance into partisan politics had generated significant attention across Imo State and on social media.
Hon. Omeogo’s victory now positions him as the APC flagbearer for the forthcoming House of Representatives election in the Orlu/Orsu/Oru Federal Constituency.
Despite the loss, political observers say Cubana Chief Priest’s participation in the primary has further strengthened his political visibility and influence within the constituency and the state at large.
