Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of petrol (PMS) from N950 to N890, effective from Saturday, 1st February 2025. The move comes in response to a positive shift in the global energy market and a recent dip in international crude oil prices.
The price cut is expected to have a ripple effect across the Nigerian economy, with a potential reduction in the cost of goods and services, ultimately benefiting consumers.
The refinery has urged marketers to pass on the savings to the public, thereby contributing to the nation’s efforts to achieve self-sufficiency in refined petroleum products, a key goal under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This price adjustment marks a significant step towards stabilising fuel costs and fostering economic growth in Nigeria.
