Hon. Dr. Richard Osaro Edosa, member representing Oredo West Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, has installed floodlights around the Igun Spare Parts market community in Benin City, fulfilling his promise to improve security in the area.
The intervention, carried out under the “Operation Light Up Igun Spare Parts” initiative, is aimed at addressing security concerns around the market and protecting traders, residents and their property.
Edosa, popularly known as “Mr Projects,” had earlier promised to illuminate the area within a short period. The installation of the floodlights marks the fulfilment of that commitment.
The lawmaker believes improved lighting will enhance visibility around the market, discourage criminal activities and create a safer environment for traders and other users of the area.
The project has drawn appreciation from members of the Igun Spare Parts community, who reportedly commended the lawmaker for responding to their security concerns.
The development adds to Edosa’s constituency interventions as he seeks to consolidate his record of representation in Oredo West.
Community members have also expressed support for the lawmaker, praising the timely intervention and urging him to sustain efforts aimed at improving safety and infrastructure across the constituency.
Edosa is the APC candidate for the 2027 Edo State House of Assembly election in Oredo West.
