Bandits reportedly beheaded one of the teachers abducted during the recent school attack in Oyo State.
Michael Oyedokun, one of the teachers kidnapped from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele in Oriire Local Govt Area, was reportedly killed by the abductors.
Gunmen had stormed the school on Friday, May 15, abducting the principal, teachers, and several students.
The incident came just weeks after a failed kidnap attempt along the Ibadan-ljebu road that reportedly claimed a traveler’s life, further raising concerns over insecurity in parts of Oyo State
Reports say a disturbing video released by the kidnappers on Sunday allegedly showed
Oyedokun being beheaded, sparking fears for the safety of the remaining victims still in captivity.
The development has thrown the community into mourning, as residents and families call on security agencies and the Oyo State Govt to intensify rescue efforts before more lives are lost
