The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has taken decisive action against a company producing a product known as “Miracle Water,” which is associated with Prophet Jeremiah.
The agency discovered that the products being manufactured by the company were not registered, leading to an immediate shutdown of the facility.
In a public announcement, NAFDAC has warned Nigerians to refrain from consuming the “Miracle Water” as investigations into the product’s safety and compliance with regulatory standards are ongoing.
The agency emphasised the importance of public health and safety, urging consumers to exercise caution and wait for further updates on the investigation.
In a related development, Prophet Jeremiah, who has been linked to the promotion of the Miracle Water, has reportedly withdrawn his legal case against VDM.
However, observers suggest that this move might have come too late, given the ongoing investigation and regulatory actions.
NAFDAC continues to monitor the situation closely and has assured the public that any further developments will be promptly communicated.
In a swift response to NAFDAC action, Prophet Jeremiah said that the Agency lacks authority to regulate spiritual products like miracle water and soaps.
According to him, these don’t require NAFDAC approval the Clerics protested.
The clerics and others, numbering more than seven on Tuesday led a protest to NAFDAC office in Asaba, Delta State capital, asking the food and drug regulatory agency to cease its scrutiny of Prophet Fufeyin’s Christ MercyLand Deliverance Ministry in Abuja concerning his spiritual products.
The clerics said that NAFDAC has no right to regulate spiritual products in Nigeria, noting that spiritual products have spiritual backing, hence, they don’t need NAFDAC approval.
