The Honourable Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning (MBEP), Edo State, Dr. Elizabeth Ebosele, has been honoured with the Advocacy for Peace and Values Re-Orientation Award for Integrity Stewardship and Service Ambassador.
The prestigious award was conferred on Dr. Ebosele by a coalition of professional volunteers committed to building a corruption-free society, promoting ethical leadership, and advancing values-driven public service.
The award was presented to the Commissioner at the Ministry’s Conference Room in Benin City by the Executive Director of Advocacy for Peace and Values Re-Orientation, Comrade Abraham Oyibo. The honour was in recognition of Dr. Ebosele’s visionary leadership, transformative budgetary and economic reforms, and unwavering commitment to sound fiscal policies and responsible resource management in Edo State.
Speaking after receiving the award, Dr. Ebosele expressed gratitude to the organisation for the recognition, describing it as a strong encouragement to uphold the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and professionalism in public service.
She commended the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for his prudent management of public resources and his steadfast commitment to accountability, good governance, and sustainable development.
Dr. Ebosele dedicated the award to the management and staff of the Ministry, acknowledging their collective dedication, professionalism, and hard work in driving the Ministry’s achievements.
Earlier, the Executive Director of Advocacy for Peace and Values Re-Orientation, Comrade Abraham Oyibo, commended the Ministry for its administrative discipline, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence.
He noted that the Edo State Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning had established a benchmark in strategic planning and resource management across key sectors, including infrastructure, agriculture, and healthcare, within the South-South geopolitical zone.
Oyibo attributed the Ministry’s achievements to Dr. Ebosele’s exceptional leadership and the administration’s deliberate policy of placing competent professionals in strategic positions to drive development.
In his remarks, the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Fidelis Ogbeni, commended Dr. Ebosele for her inspiring work ethic and exemplary leadership.
He described the Commissioner as a model for the entire Ministry and expressed confidence that her commitment to excellence and public service would continue to attract further recognition.
The event underscored the importance of integrity, professionalism, and values-driven leadership in strengthening public institutions and advancing sustainable development in Edo State.
