Edo Govt. Assure Welders Association Of Business Friendly Environment

Gov. Monday Okpebholo of Edo state has assured members of the Welders Association in Edo of his administration readiness to continue in creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
Okpebholo disclosed this while addressing Mr Peter Osagie, the President of Edo Chapter of Welders Association, who led other members on a courtsey visit to Government House, Benin City.
According to him, i am ready to partner with you, we are already working on the epileptic power supply affecting your businesses.
“We are already working on it. A 100 megwatt is already on the pipeline. They have been building it, and I am sure between now and November, that will be power on.
“We will be using it here in Edo, and that is going to be one of the biggest watt in our state and is here in Ologbo.
“We are also trying to repeat the same between Edo North and Central to help discentralised the power system in the two Senatorial districts.
“That is why you people voted for us to make life comfortable for you people. The roads we’re constructing today are for the people,”he said.
The governor assured the group that his administration would complete the rehabilitation work on the Benin-Sapele road, adding that the work was 90 percent completed.
“For me, I have decided that I will leave Edo better than I met, in terms of infrastructure and security, we now have Edo of all inclusiveness, where everybody will be living together equally.
“There is something that will come up very soon, we are going to see different things in Edo, all the local government will be using new cars, government is going release about 200 busses for people to pay back insturmentally.
“I heard my brother talking about 2.5 million votes, let those who are saying it is not possible to know that we are ready to make it happen. I am not the one preaching it now. It’s the Welders association that is preaching it.
“President Bola Tinubu is the best president that has ever happened to Nigeria, he removed the fuel subsidy that many were eating fat on, and the proceed is the development we are seeing across Edo,”he added.
Speaking on the tax reform of the president, he noted that it was meant to benefit the low income earners.
He appealed to the association to support the current government, saying that the government belongs to the people, as he warned them not to allow themselves to be used negatively during the election.
Mr Peter Osagie, President of Edo Chapter of Welders Association, thanked the governor for creating an enabling environment for business to thrive.
Osagie revealed that the association had put a design in place to construct bus taminals along the ongoing reconstruction road work on the Benin-Sapele.
He highlighted their major challenges to be epileptic power supply, appealing for a welder village that could accommodate his members.
He commended the governor in his fight against insecurity in the state, just as he assured the governor of his association commitment to fighting out of school children.
“We have designed full training across the 18 Local Government Areas of the state to curtail out of school children drop out. We want you to partner with us to train more of these out of school children.
“Mr governor, I can assure you that the 2.5 million votes you assure Tinubu, we will deliver, we have over 15 thousands in Edo, we have wives, we have parents, it is where we vote that our families will vote,”
