Ahead of the All Progressive Congress APC Primary election, the Senatorial aspirant and incumbent Senator representing Edo North, Senator Francis Alimikhena has urged Edo North delegates to vote for him, for Edo North to continue to experience the rate of developmental strides of these past years across the Senatorial district.
Senator Alimikhena who was speaking in Akoko-Edo Local Government on Tuesday (3rd of May) during an enlarged meeting with delegates said a vote for him “will be a vote for continuous development of Edo North”
According to him, delegates in Akoko-Edo must make their decision in the interest of the people to save the party from total collapse as a result of the overbearing behaviour of an individual.
“I will remain the last man standing for the All Progressive Congress Congress (APC) in Edo North and Edo State. I have kept faith with the APC and I will continue to deliver the party in all elections. We must not give our support to those that will make the Party lose out at the general election.”
He maintained that taking a critical decision by the delegates is the only way APC can retain Edo North and reclaim the State from the opposition.
“If you vote for me you are voting for yourself and development. If you vote for me you are voting for a great future”
He explained that legislative business does not have tenure and the more you are returned the more benefits and job opportunities you can attract to your people. It is better to project someone who has your interest at heart all the,, time on the front seat than to vote for a back seater who cannot attract Maximum benefit to the people.
“When you vote for me you will benefit more than you are already benefitting now” he said.
Earlier in his remarks, the Director-General of the Senator Francis Alimikhena Campaign Organization and former Etsako West Local Government Chairman and Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs in the Oshiomhole administration Chief Lucky James said there are Senators but there is a Senator. He said he has witnessed several Senatorial representations in Edo North but no one among them has had the impact and displayed of capacity like Senator Francis Alimikhena.
He described the Senator as a man who does not discriminate and does not bend matters. “If you return him to the Senate you will not regret it. Senator Francis Alimikhena is the only person that can deliver APC in the forthcoming general election as a unifying figure.
Others who passed a vote of confidence on the Senator include the Akoko -Edo APC local government chairman Prince Ojo-Maliki, the local government Woman leader Mrs Glory Gominah, the Local Government Youth Gbadamosi Victor and other Party other party chieftains.
