Edo North All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Chairman, Chief, Barr, S.S. Mayaki, has congratulated Muslims on the successful commencement of Ramadan fast.
In his congratulatory message personally signed by him and made available to newsmen at Igarra, he urged Muslim faithfuls to rededicate themselves to higher virtues of love, kindness and generosity towards each other irrespective of Religion or ethnicity.
According to Mayaki, Ramadan is not merely a season of abstinence from food, drinks and wordly pleasures, but a time of commitment to the service of God and humanity.
The APC Chieftain, noted, that Nigerians must recommit themselves now and in the future in order to sustain the peace, unity and brotherhood that bind us together as one indivisible Nation.
His words ” I would like to express my special greetings to our Muslim brothers and Sisters who have started the Ramadan fast. It is a time to pray for the Nation to achieve sustainable growth and development.”
Ramadan is a time of commitment to greater values and consideration for others irrespective of our faith or ethnicity” Mayaki said.
He stressed the need for the All Progressives Congress (APC) members in the state to pray for the party and the Nation.
The APC Senatorial Chairman, advised Muslims to be guided in their interactions with others, adding that Ramadan comes with the spirit of sacrifice, discipline and Perseverance symbolised by the body of food and drinks.
