The Rector, Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Engr. Dr. Michael Chidiebere Arimanwa (FNSE), has been commended for all his efforts in infrastructural development towards the wellbeing of staff, students including host and surrounding communities of the institution.
The commendation came as a result of the recent reconstruction of the Maternity junction/Umuofocha/South Africa/Poly new gate road, which hitherto was impassable, especially during the rainy season.
The more than two kilometer road, attracted by Rev. Arimanwa, connecting several communities and leading to the polytechnic and a federal government project is a welcome relief to all and sundry.
The communities are not alone in this commendation as the students, majority of whom are residing in the various environs have also appreciated the Rector for always looking out for the welfare of others.
Recall that Engr. Arimanwa since assuming duties as the Rector, Federal Polytechnic Nekede, has used his good offices to attract the attention of Imo state government that is currently constructing the Naze/Nekede/Ihiagwa/Obinze road, which has made movement in and out of the institution much easier. Staff who stopped commuting to work in their private vehicles due to bad road have again started riding to school in their cars.
