President Bola Tinubu has advised Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party to seek legal redress if they are not satisfied with the outcome of the recent Edo State governorship election.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu congratulated Senator Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, who won with 291,667 votes.

Ighodalo and Akpata followed with 247,274 and 22,763 votes, respectively.

Tinubu praised the APC for its success, attributing it to the people’s confidence in the party’s policies.
He urged Okpebholo to view his win as a mandate for service and to work toward uniting the state by reaching out to his rivals.
