Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has declared himself the leader of the APC in the state, insisting that he is not under the influence or control of former APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
The governor made the statement while responding to criticisms from Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, amid ongoing political tensions and shifting alliances in Kano ahead of the 2027 elections.
Yusuf’s remarks further highlight the growing divisions in Kano politics, as key political figures continue to battle for dominance and influence in the state.
As 2027 approaches, Kano is increasingly shaping up to be a major political battleground, with rising tensions and fierce rivalry among leading politicians.
