The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board JAMB has announced that, the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be free for disabled candidates.
Individuals with disabilities who intend to enroll in the UTME will be able to take the exam free of charge. The Registrar of JAMB, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, made this announcement during a media interactive session introducing the registration process for the 2024 UTME.
He also stated that JAMB would provide application documents free of charge to all categories of Persons with Disabilities. Additionally, to ensure fairness for all candidates, audio books will be supplied to all visually impaired candidates.
This move came up during the first National Conference on Equal Opportunity of Access to Higher Education in Nigeria.
