The Commissioner of Police pledges Edo Command’s commitment to the safety and well-being of corps members serving across the State.

The Edo State Commissioner of Police, CP Patrick Daaor, has reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to protecting National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving across the state.

Daaor gave the assurance on Thursday, October 8, 2026, during a courtesy visit to the NYSC Orientation Camp in Okada, Ovia North-East Local Government Area of Edo State.

The police commissioner was received by the Edo State NYSC Coordinator, Mr Fasina Adedotun, alongside other senior officials and staff members of the orientation camp.

During the visit, Daaor delivered a goodwill address and interacted with the camp management and corps members, assuring them of the police command’s determination to safeguard their lives and property throughout their service year.

He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring the safety, security and general well-being of corps members deployed to different parts of Edo State.

The visit underscored the importance of collaboration between the police and the NYSC in promoting a secure environment for young Nigerians undertaking the mandatory national service.

The occasion also featured a musical performance by the NYSC Camp Band, adding colour to the engagement.

The visit ended with a group photograph involving the commissioner, NYSC officials and other dignitaries, marking another engagement between the Edo State Police Command and the NYSC community.

The police command reiterated its commitment to working with relevant stakeholders to maintain security and protect residents, including corps members serving in the state.
