The Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is set to recognise communication practitioners deploying technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to transform the public relations industry.
The chapter announced that the practitioners will be honoured at the 2026 Lagos Public Relations Industry Gala and Awards (LAPRIGA), scheduled for December 11 at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the chapter’s Public Relations Officer, Oguchukwu Okeke, said the awards would celebrate professionals who are harnessing emerging technologies to drive innovation and advance the communication industry.
The move signals the growing influence of AI in Nigeria’s communications landscape, with the NIPR Lagos chapter positioning LAPRIGA as a platform for recognising practitioners who are embracing technology to improve the effectiveness and reach of public relations.
The December event is expected to bring together leading PR professionals, corporate communications experts, media executives and other stakeholders in the communications industry.
