A shocking case of theft has sent ripples through Lagos after a young employee was accused of stealing building materials worth over N500,000 from his employer. The incident, which unfolded on Friday, March 28, has raised eyebrows after the suspect’s spending habits were uncovered during an investigation.
Chinny, a businesswoman based in Lagos, took to Instagram to expose the details of the crime. The suspect, who was employed just last month, was caught red-handed by security personnel after breaking into the company’s storehouse. It didn’t take long for the young man to confess to the theft, admitting that he had stolen materials valued at a staggering N500,000.
However, what followed next shocked many. A closer look into the suspect’s phone revealed an even more bizarre twist to the story. The young man had reportedly spent a large portion of the stolen funds on items that raised eyebrows across the board.
