The member representing Etsako Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Johnson Oghuma has empowered a number of women in a development program that took place in Delta State, South-South Zone last week on post COVID-19 Sensitization Training for innovation and Empowerment.
The training, which, according to the National Centre for women Development is in line with its mandate, to be committed and determined to Sensitize and Empower women and youths with skills that are appropriate in view of the negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, to facilitate and enhance their livelihood while contributing to the overall strategy of Mr. President in that regard.
The intensive training which was entrepreneurial on the post-Covid Empowerment project, economic revival and growth that lasted for about 5 days was described as an eye opener and innovative going by the present global Economic situation that also affects Nigeria. This was according to Mrs Ichibor Mageret, the Etsako East LGA Women Leader who spoke onbehalf of the beneficiaries. She also appreciated Hon. Oghuma for the Empowerment and commended his efforts even at the training location.
In his response, the uncomon legislator, congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to judiciously make use of this ample opportunity to contribute their quota to the Economic revival and growth as according to him “women’s role is vital in development”. The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment , zeal and passion in empowering more women and Youths in Etsako Federal Constituency.
