The Management of Media Trust Limited has applauded the reform initiatives of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and urged it to sustain the tempo.
The Acting Chief Executive Officer, Media Trust Limited Nura Mamman Daura who gave the commendation today during a courtesy visit to the Registrar General/CEO of the CAC, Alhaji Garba Abubakar noted with satisfaction the recent progress recorded by the Commission particularly its digitization efforts.
Nura Mamman Daura stated that in view of recent developments in the Commission, Media Trust Limited Publishers of Daily Trust Newspaper was in CAC to explore more ways of partnering with the Commission especially in the area of Legal Notices.
Also speaking, Ahmed Shekarau, General Manager Business and Strategy maintained that the proposed partnership would amongst others minimize the cost of publications as well as simplify the process particularly for those doing business with the CAC.
Responding, the Registrar General/CEO of the CAC, Alhaji Garba Abubakar noted with delight the support of Media Trust Limited towards the promotion of the activities and achievements of the Commission and enjoined it to sustain the existing friendly relationship.
Alhaji Garba Abubakar however said the Commission would study the request on Legal Notices in accordance with provisions of the law and noted with dismay that some Customers were in the habit of uploading cloned newspapers for registration purposes.
He therefore used the forum to reiterate his commitment towards improving the Commission’s service delivery in accordance with global best practices.
