The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has kicked off a pivotal 5-day workshop dedicated to strengthening Social and Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC) strategies across Nigeria’s health sector.
Organised by the Advocacy and Communications Department, the workshop is aimed at crafting a robust SBCC framework that targets and transforms behavioral barriers affecting health outcomes nationwide.
This intensive session gathers stakeholders from diverse health and development backgrounds, including experts from AFENET, Breakthrough Action Nigeria, Brooks Insights, Chigari Foundation, and Corona Management Systems. Together, they will contribute their insights and resources towards creating a comprehensive SBCC strategy.
Key objectives of the workshop include enhancing participants’ skills in SBCC design, implementation, and evaluation. It will also focus on integrating diverse perspectives to ensure the strategy is inclusive and resonates with the target communities. Aligning the strategy with both national and state health goals, the workshop sets a strong foundation for sustainable, impactful communication efforts that support positive health behaviors and broader development priorities across Nigeria.
Upon completion, attendees will be equipped with advanced tools and methodologies to effectively drive behavioral change, helping the country make strides toward its health and development targets.
