Omorede Osifo Empowers 25 Edo Women With Cash Grants, Educational Support

The Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Women Mobilisation, Hon. Omorede Osifo, has empowered 25 women in Oredo Ward 6 with cash grants and educational support to boost their businesses and improve their livelihoods.

The empowerment programme, held in Oredo Local Government Area, is part of efforts to complement the developmental agenda of the Edo State Government and the Oredo Local Government Council by promoting grassroots economic growth and encouraging self-reliance among women.

The cash grants, which were presented free of charge, are expected to strengthen the beneficiaries’ businesses and enhance their economic well-being.

Speaking during the programme, Hon. Osifo expressed appreciation to Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for the opportunity to serve the people of the state, reaffirming her commitment to advancing women-focused initiatives.

She also urged the beneficiaries to remain united and mobilise support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of forthcoming elections.

Further details obtained by this online newspaper revealed that beneficiaries described the intervention as timely and impactful, thanking Governor Okpebholo and Hon. Osifo for the gesture.

They pledged to make judicious use of the funds to expand their businesses and improve their families’ standard of living.

The event attracted women leaders, party faithful and residents of Ward 6, who commended the initiative, describing it as a significant step towards empowering women and improving their welfare at the grassroots.
