One Dead, Several Injured as Bus Conveying APC Women to Tinubu’s Rally Crashes in Uyo

One person has been confirmed dead, while several others sustained injuries after a bus conveying supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) women’s wing was involved in a fatal road accident in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

The crash occurred on Friday, November 6, along Oron Road when a Toyota Hilux reportedly collided with the bus conveying the women.

The impact left the bus badly damaged, trapping some occupants and leaving several passengers injured.

Sympathisers and other road users reportedly rushed to the scene to rescue victims and assist those who sustained injuries.

The victims were said to be travelling to attend the APC presidential campaign rally in support of President Bola Tinubu when the accident occurred.

As of the time of filing this report, the police had yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
