Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, one half of the former P-Square duo, has publicly addressed allegations of song theft made by his twin brother Paul Okoye. The conflict began after Peter announced the release of his new track, a move Paul claims breaches their previous agreement.
According to Paul, both brothers initially agreed to bring six original songs each, to be evaluated for release. However, Paul alleged on Instagram that Peter disregarded this arrangement, choosing instead to release one of Paul’s songs independently, backed by his management team. In a strongly worded post, Paul expressed his frustration, accusing Peter and his team of unfair practices.
Peter has since responded, firmly denying his brother’s accusations. He claims that he and the song’s producer co-wrote the track, dismissing Paul’s assertions as baseless. Peter further revealed that Paul, with the help of their older brother Jude, is attempting to have the song removed from streaming platforms, but Peter remains resolute, stating that he is prepared to defend his rights to the song “till the end.”
This feud highlights on-going tensions within the Okoye family, years after P-Square’s breakup, suggesting deeper issues still unresolved. Fans and industry insiders alike continue to watch the siblings’ public exchanges closely.
