The Lagos State police authority has arrested a three-man gang of teenage armed robbery suspects.
The suspects, all 19-years-old, were arrested in the early hours of today, Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Marble Guest House, on House No. 33, Ajibike Street, Ogudu-Ojota.
Identifying the suspects as Victor Alfred, Chubike Ikeh Donatus, and Isiaka Olamide, the Lagos State police spokesman (PPRO), CSP Olumiyiwa Adejobi, stated that their arrest was based on a tip-off.
A Beretta pistol, weeds suspected to be Indian hemp and assorted charms were recovered from them, the PPRO said.
The state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has directed that the suspects be properly investigated and profiled by the Anti-obbery Section of the State CID.
Also reiterating his commitment to eradicating cult related crises and other forms of criminality in the state, the CP said he would ensure that the state was not conducive for criminals to hibernate by making the state “very hot for the survival and operations of any cult or armed robbery group”.
